Jeff Thomson nearly meets Jonathon Morris

He's the star of Bread, Joseph and Wuthering Heights - and now he's in Guildford. It's Jonathon Morris - the first star to receive a mysterious note from our man Jeff Thomson

What attracted you to this production? Many things really - but particularly to create the character within the machinations of an extraordinarily imaginative plot.

In your theatre dressing room, do you have anything from home? Is there a specific reason?
I've never been particularly superstitious, but I do carry my exercise gear to stretch out any tension or tiredness!

Do you have a favourite play/or playwright/or Theatre? Why?

I have always adored Oscar Wilde, but my favourite playwright would be Joe Orton because of the mix of harsh reality and biting humour.

Do you recall the first autograph you ever gave and where? Were you pleased/surprised/bemused?
My first autograph was done after my first performance as Heathcliffe in Wuthering Heights - I was certainly pleased, surprised and bemused!

What would your advice be to anyone who was thinking of entering the acting profession?
Try and do some theatre and don't be seduced too much by seeking fame. If you work hard it will happen naturally.

In your fantasy This is Your Life, which three personalities would you most like to appear?
Noah - I'd like to know how he knew to build the Ark before the rain? Any astronaut - because they're so brave! The Little Prince - because of his wonderful values.

Have you ever donated to a charity shop? Which one? What did you give?

Many times and always clothes! I love them, but fashion becomes out-dated so quickly and then comes round again!

What do you do to unwind?
Read factual books, exercise and swim in the sea.

Are you reading a paperback at the moment? Is there one you would recommend? Why? For the second time I'm reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriella Garcia Marquez - his word play and descriptions are fantastic.
