Excerpt 1
"So how did you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Stop that girl from wanting to go out with you?"
"Oh that, I told her I was gay."
"You told her what?"
"I told her I was gay."
"Isn't that a little extreme?"
"Not when you've seen the great ape she calls father."
"So what did you tell her?"
"I said I was already in a relationship."
"A relationship with who?"
"Who do you think?" he said as he crossed his legs and touched his hair suggestively.
"Don't do that," he said grabbing Illya's hand.
It was at that moment that the girl and her friend entered. The friend that Napoleon had arranged a date with.
"See I told you," said the girl that had been chasing Illya since the assignment began. The girl's friend stormed out in a rage and the girl followed her.
"She wasn't your type anyway."
"I guess I'll never have the chance to find out."
"We still have each other." Illya managed to say after fighting down the giggles.
Excerpt 2
To set the scene: An amnesiac Illya is talking to Napoleon.
"I get the feeling I don't like you very much."
"Actually we're very close friends."
Illya's eyes narrowed and Napoleon rephrased it.
"Well not that close."
"Good I had the feeling you weren't my type."
"Oh really and what type is that?"
"Female Mr Solo, very, very female."

Excerpt 3
To set the scene: Illya and Napoleon on a cruise ship, sometime early on in their partnership.
"Illya what's going on, you've barely stepped out of this cabin in all the time we've been here. Need I remind you that we still have a job to do."
"Napoleon unless you want to be wearing what I had for lunch I suggest you move aside." The Russian had paled considerably and had his hand covering his mouth, Solo moved aside. He grimaced as he watched the other man crouched over the toilet being sick.
"How did you ever survive your time in the navy?"
"Mostly like this."
"In case it had escaped your attention there are Thrushies on this boat determined to kill us."
"I'm not sure I wouldn't prefer it."
