Who is Scott in the X-men movie:
Answer: Scott Summers, called Cyclops, was along with Dr. Jean Grey and Ororo Monroe Xavier`s first students. He taught them to control their powers and use them to help humanity.

Who played Scott in the movie:
Answer: James Marsden.

How old is Scott in the movie:
Answer: He is young. Around 23 years old.

Why does Scott always wear red glasses or a red visor:
Answer: They don't say in the movie but this is the reason; Scott can't control his eye beams. Every time he opens his eyes he'll blast everything in sight. Only his eyelids and the ruby red material his glasses and visor are made of can contain the beams. This also means that he is actually always firing his eye beams, explaining why he shot the roof of the train station.

From where does Scott get his powers:
Answer: He is a mutant and this gives him the ability to gain superpowers. They don't say in the movie but presumably Scott get his powers from the sun ( starlight works as well). So in theory if he is locked up in a dark room for days/weeks without any light at all he'll lose his powers. Mutant?

What is a mutant:
Answer: A mutant is a person, a human, born differently than others. They may look differently ( green hair/skin etc) or have superhuman abilities ( telepathy, shadow walking, flying, controlling the weather, firing beams of different kinds from hands or eyes etc). Mutants are born with these abilities. They have a different DNA code than normal humans. They are also called Homo Superior. Humans often fear them. Some mutants choose to fight the rest of humanity ( Magneto) and some choose to try and make peace between humans and mutants ( Xavier and the X-men).

Who is the X-men in the movie:
Answer: In the movie there are only three X-men and that's Cyclops, the leader, his girl, Dr. Jean Grey and Storm.

Which character did the movie focus on:
Answer: Logan especially and then Rogue. Scott and the others had very little screen time and therefor we know very little of them.

What did Scott do in the movie:
Answer: He's a teacher on Xavier`s school and leader of the X-men.

So, who saved who in the movie:
Answer: Let's make a list:
LOGAN
1) Took Rogue with him.
2) Saved Scott's life when Mystique wanted to kill him in the Statue.
3) Fought Sabretooth and freed the X-men.
4) After Cyclops shoot Magneto, Logan was able to freed Rogue and thereby save the day. 5) Touched Rogue and gave her his healing factor; saving her life.
SCOTT
1) Saved Loganīs life from Sabretooth when he had lost consciousness.
2) Together with Storm, saved Rogue and Logan as Loganīs car blew up.
3) Saved Jean as she was about to suffocate.
4) After getting his visor back; he shot Sabretooth so Logan could free the others.
5) He shot Magneto, thereby freeing Logan from his power so he could free Rogue and save the day.
ROGUE
1) Called out a warning as some men wanted to kill Logan. ( probably don't count as he could easily have survived and probably knew what they were up to.)
JEAN
1) Gives Scott his visor so he can shot Sabretooth.
2) Steadies Logan as Storm fly's him up to Rogue.
ORORO
1) Covers Scott and herself in snow so they can surprise Sabretooth in Canada.

3) Fried Toad ( YES! I hated that guy..You can have another opinion of cause.
4) Lifted Logan up to Rogue.

1) Convinced Logan and Rogue to stay for awhile.

Which good guys did something unfortunate/ stupid/ unethical:
Answer: We make another list:
LOGAN
1) Holds Jean by her neck.
2) Stabs Rogue in the chest.
3) Steals Scott's bike.
4) Practically leads Magneto straight to Rogue.
5) Tries to seduce Scott's girl.
6) Gives Scott and most others a hard time.
SCOTT
1) Is unable to control his eye beams and so shot the roof of the train station. People are bound to have been hurt or even killed.
2) Is jealous when he sees Logan with Jean.
3) Is a very controlled person who it is very hard to get to know. ( There has got to be some deeper psychological reason for this. Most likely Scott has felt some deep pain in his life ( and probably had a unhappy childhood.)
JEAN
1) Way too attracted to Logan when she's supposed to love Scott.
2) Just what did she do in the torch?
ORORO
1) Hum, actually I can't think of anything but she was very soft-spoken and so is Easy to miss.

Why couldn't the X-men free themselves when Magneto had them captured in the torch of the Statue:

His visor was removed so if he opened his eyes he'll blast Jean.

Lighting in a carbon conductor? Not good. ( Or so says Magneto)
JEAN
Hum, I actually don't know. Why didn't she do something? She should have been Able to. The only reason I can think of is that she is so weak regarding her powers ( And then she has to be very weak) that she can't do anything.

What is Scott's background story:
Answer: The movie didn't say ( neither on Jean or Ororo). The book ( which is very bad in my humble opinion) says Scott got his powers when to a High School ball. He blasted through the school. He didn't open his eyes for 3 months until Xavier found him. ( I personally don't like this version of Scott getting his powers. It don't fully explain why he acts like he does. In the comics we know of his hard childhood and so know why he acts and is the way he is.

Jean and Scott is THE X-men couple in the comics. Is this true in the movie as well?
Answer: They got very little screen time. They barely had one scene alone, didn't talk personally together and didn't show warm feelings towards each other openly. There is one time where Scott thinks Jean is in danger and he fears for her life but that is all. So, I`ll have to say no. ( With imagination one can make it true but not in the movie itself.)

Scott Summers is related to half the Marvel universe. Is this true in the movie:
Answer: NO! We don't know anything about Scott's past and therefor nothing about any relatives he might have.

Will there be a sequel to the movie:
Answer: To my knowledge yes.

Will Scott be in it?
Answer: To my knowledge yes and played by the same actor.
