![]() What to know about the X-men cartoons? The old one called X-men and the new one called X-men: Evolution? Then you have come to the right place. X-men: This cartoon series was ½ hour long and ran during the beginning of the 90`s and was based on the comic books. It featured Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Jubilee, Rogue, Gambit, Wolverine, Beast and Professor Xavier. Other X-men guest stared like Archangel, Cable, Nightcrawler ect. Villains were Magneto, Apocalypse, Sinister and others. The series had 5 seasons. Season 1 (1992-93): 1) Night Of The Sentinels, ( part 1): Overall Rating: 5/5 Cyclops Rating: 3/5 Cyclops Role: Saves Jubilee ( wasn't much in the episode but what he did was fine) Main Character: Jubilee Pairing(s): None really Synopsis: Jubilee is saved by the X-Men when Sentinels -- giant mutant-apprehending robots -- attack a shopping mall. The X-Men discover that renegades within the government are using a Mutant Registration Program to track down and eliminate mutants. 2) Night Of the Sentinels, (part 2): Overall Rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops Role: Leads the battle against the Sentinels, brings Logan back. In this episode we see that he can't control his beams, we see the burden of leadership and the tension between Logan and him. ( when Logan hit him my thought was that Scott had to be a very controlled person to not just open his eyes and blast him to kingdom come. In a fight to the death I see no competition. Scott can shot his beams from far away and thereby avoid Logan's claws. He can then just open his eyes and.bye, bye Wolvie) Main Character: Jubilee, Logan Pairing(s): Slight Scott/Jean, Logan/Jean Synopsis: The X-Men break into the Mutant Registration Office and destroy the files, but Beast is apprehended while trying to escape. Gyrich and Trask, the renegades responsible for the Sentinels, kidnap Jubilee, hoping she can lead them to the X-Men. 3) Enter Magneto Overall Rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 4/5 Cyclops role: Leads the battle against Magneto. Main Character: Storm a little. Pairing(s): None really Synopsis: While Beast stands trial for the break-in, a powerful mutant 'master of magnetism' attempts to break him from prison. Professor Xavier recognizes his age-old foe Magneto, a maverick who aims to start a mutant war against humanity 4) Deadly Reunions Overall Rating: 5/5 Cyclops Rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men against Magneto, is wounded and loses consciousness and Rogue gives him mouth to mouth thereby taking his powers for a short while. Main Character: None really Paring(s): Scott/Rogue if you want to believe. None else ( neither Jean nor Gambit are in many of the episodes) Synopsis: While Professor Xavier attempts to stop Magneto's reign of destruction, Sabretooth--an old foe of Wolverine's -- infiltrates the X-Men headquarters. 5) Captive hearts Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He is together with Jean kidnapped by Callisto, the leader of the Morlocks, because she wants to marry him. He refuses her. We lean that Cyclops gets his power from the sun as his powers disappear when underground. My only complain about this episode is that Cyclops is unconscious for the last part. Main Character: Cyclops, Jean, Storm Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Logan/Jean Synopsis: Cyclops and Jean are captured by a band of underground-dwelling mutants called the Morlocks. While the X-Men attempt to rescue them, Wolverine must confront his own strong feelings for Jean and his jealousy toward Cyclops. 6) Cold Revenge Overall rating: 0/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in the episode Main Character: Logan-only. This was a Logan centered episode Pairing(s): Logan/Jean Synopsis: Wolverine leaves the X-Men to seek solitude in the Canadian wilderness. He finds peace among a group of Baffin Island Eskimos, only to discover that Sabretooth has been stalking him all this time. 7) Slave island Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 1/5 Cyclops role: he reluctantly sends Storm, Jubilee and Gambit ( who FINALLY has a major role) on a mission. He then comes with the Blackbird after them when they are in trouble. Basically he isn't in the episode. But Gambit is and it is a great episode. Main Character: Remy Pairing (s): None really Synopsis: Hearing that mutants are welcome on the island nation of Genosha, Professor Xavier sends Storm, Gambit and Jubilee there for a vacation. They soon discover Genosha is a slave camp, where mutants are forced to construct Sentinels. 8) The unstoppable Juggernaut Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men and finds a way to stop Juggernaut Main Character: Colossus, Juggernaut Pairing (s):Scott/Jean, Logan/Jean, Peter/Rogue Synopsis: When Xavier's mansion is destroyed and a series of spectacular robberies are committed, the X-Men suspect a giant Russian mutant named Colossus. The real culprit turns out to be Juggernaut, Xavier's evil half-brother who's out for revenge. 9) The Cure Overall rating: 1/5 Cyclops rating: 1/5 Cyclops role: He is against Rogue going to Muir Island. He is in the beginning of the episode for about 4 minutes and that's all. Main Character: Rogue Pairing (s): None really Synopsis: A Doctor at the Muir Island Mutant Research Center claims to have found a cure for the mutant gene. Rogue flies to the island seeking the 'cure', which turns out to be a plot by the villainous Apocalypse to turn mutants into his evil servants. 10) Come The Apocalypse Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 3/5 Cyclops role: He leads the X-men and fights against the Horsemen. Main Character: None Pairing (s): None Synopsis: The immortal mutant Apocalypse terrorizes the world with his Horsemen--mutants who journeyed to Muir Island seeking the fictitious cure, but instead became the living embodiments of Famine, Pestilence, War, and Death. Can the X-Men stop them from carrying out Apocalypse's plan to annihilate all humankind? 11) Days Of Future Past, Part 1 Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 4/5 Cyclops role: Fights with Storm against Bishop, agrees with Logan that Bishop is out of his mind, agrees then with Xavier as he believes Bishop tells the truth when he sees the rest of his portal, saves Storm! as she and Jean is in danger( Logan saves Jean), says it could never be Jean who would kill Xavier Main Character: Bishop, Remy Pairing (s): Slight Scott/Jean, if you want to you can see Scott/Storm here as well and Logan/Jean. Synopsis: A mutant time traveler, Bishop, arrives from the future to stop a traitorous mutant from assassinating Senator Kelly. The problem is, the journey has given him temporary amnesia. Bishop can't remember who the assassin is--except that it's one of the X-Men! 12) Days Of Future Past, Part 2 Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 4/5 Cyclops role: Isn't sure Remy is guilty but says Logan is to play Nanny for Remy and Bishop while him and the others saves the Senator if necessary, fights and leads the X-men against the Brotherhood to protect the Senator. Main Character: Bishop, Remy Pairing (s): Slight Scott/Jean, if you want to you can see Scott/Storm here as well and Jean/Logan. Synopsis: Bishop identifies the traitor -- the mysterious Cajun Gambit! Can the X-Men stop Bishop from destroying Gambit before the assassination can take place? Should they? 13) The Final Decision: Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men, saves Gambit and Logan, proposes to Jean Main Character: None Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Scott/Logan, Logan/Remy, Charles/Magneto, Logan/Scott, Remy/Rogue Synopsis: Recovering from their initial battle with the X-Men, Gyrich and Trask have resumed Project Wide awake by creating the ultimate Sentinel: the Master Mold, a walking factory capable of creating Sentinel robots at an assembly-line pace. The X-Men must join with their oldest nemesis, Magneto, to destroy the Master Mold and prevent the extermination of all mutantkind. Season 2 (1993-94): 1) Till death do us part ( part 1): Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He is the groom! Main Character: Cyclops, Jean Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Logan/Jean Synopsis: As Jean and Cyclops attempt to tie the knot, Mr. Sinister lays traps to destroy the X-Men one by one. Sinister's agent of destruction is none other than poor, tormented Morph who has his own bone to pick with the X-Men. 2) Till death do us part ( part 2) Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Together with Jean he is kidnapped by Sinister. He escapes his chains, frees Jean and shot Sinister so he have to retreat. In this episode we lean that only Scott's eye beams can hurt Sinister. Main Character: Cyclops, Jean Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Logan/Jean, Magneto/Xavier ( there is so much of that in this series) Synopsis: Mr. Sinister's efforts to destroy the X-Men appear to be working as he and Morph turn the superheroes against each other. Even Professor X and Magneto foolishly fall into a Sinister trap. 3) Whatever It Takes Overall rating: 1/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in this episode. Main Character: Storm, Rogue Pairing (s): None Synopsis: The Shadow King lures Storm home to Mt. Kilimanjaro by 'possessing' her young spiritual son Mjnari. Meanwhile Wolverine appeals to a schizophrenic Morph to rejoin the X-Team. 4) Red Dawn Overall rating: 0/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in this episode. Main Character: Colossus, Pairing (s): None Synopsis: Omega Red, the ultimate living weapon, is resuscitated by three corrupt generals who want to reclaim and rule the crumbling old Soviet empire. Colossus, with the help of the X-Men, fights to save his country and its fragile freedom from these forces of tyranny. 5) Repo Man: Overall rating: 1/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in this episode. Main Character: Logan, Pairing (s): None Synopsis: Vindicator and the Canadian Alpha Flight capture Wolverine. They demand some return on their investment: either he joins their team as originally planned or they repossess his indestructible, adamantium skeleton. 6) X-Ternally Yours: Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He is wounded in the Danger room when Remy forgets to turn it off. Main Character: Remy, Pairing (s): Rogue/Gambit, Jean/Scott, Rogue/Scott Synopsis: An ancient tithe and an age old family feud force Gambit to return to his southern roots...where the woman he jilted at the altar waits to enact some sweet revenge. 7) Time Fugitives (Part 1): Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men Main Character: Bishop, Pairing (s): Scott/Jean Synopsis: Once again, Bishop, an upstart mutant from the 21st century must travel back to the present day to help the X-Men fight a plague that threatens to consume all mutant kind. 8) Time Fugitives (Part 2): Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men Main Character: Bishop, Pairing (s): Scott/Jean Synopsis: As human mutant relations worsen and the plague rages uncontrollably, Cable, another time traveler, takes matters into his own bionic hand to set the present straight and save his own future world. 9) A Rogue's Tale Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He worries for Rogue, leads the X-men Main Character: Rogue Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Rogue/Scott, Scott/Logan Synopsis: When Mystique, Rogue's foster mother, forces her to revisit her own past, Rogue's overpowering flashbacks drive her from the X-Men and into the waiting arms of Ms. Marvel, Rogue's first enemy. On a psychic plane, an avenging Ms. Marvel and an apologetic Rogue battle it out. 10) Beauty And The Beast Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn`t in the episode Main Character: Beast Pairing (s): None Synopsis: Against all odds, Dr. McCoy (Beast) falls in love with Carly, a blind patient of his. Carly's father is a rampant mutant hater until the Friends of Humanity thugs kidnap Carly then, only the X-Men can help. 11) Mojovision Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He was kidnapped together with a lot of the other X-men and forced to fight for the amusement of others. Main Character: None really. Pairing (s): Slight Jean/Scott Synopsis: Mojo, a very megalomaniacal, interdimensional network programmer (is there any other kind?) casts the X-Men as his latest all galaxy television hit, when he uses his psychic powers to pit them against one another on a far distant planet. The blood thirsty crowd goes wild and the X-Men's fight to the death will ensure the greedy showman's highest ratings ever. 12) Reunion, (part 1): Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 2/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't much in this episode, only flying the Blackbird Main Character: None really. Pairing (s): Xavier/Magneto Synopsis: A captured Xavier and Magneto are the bait as Mr. Sinister lures the other X-Men to his Savage Land castle. After capturing the team, Sinister will use their genetic material to update Magneto's lowly band of 'mutates' to create his own army of unstoppable mutants. 13) Reunion, (part 2): Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He is captured together with the others and fights and leads the X-men when they escape. My only complain is that Sinister wasn't more interested in Scott than he was. That was un-Sinisterlike. Main Character: Logan Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Rogue/Gambit ( Gambit says he loves Rogue in this episode), Xavier/Magneto Synopsis: Upon touchdown in Savage Land, the X-Men lose all their mutant skills and are immediately captured by Sinister's Nasty Boys. As Sinister begins to DNA imprint Rogue, Wolverine and island native Kazar must stop the procedure and save all their drained and hypnotized companions. Season 3 ( 1994-95): 1) Out Of the past (part 1) Overall rating: 1/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in the episode Main Character: Logan Pairing (s): Logan/Yuriko Synopsis: Wolverine's former love, a Japanese woman named Yuriko, believes Wolverine caused her father's death. She has turned herself into a living weapon, the cyborg Lady Deathstrike, and has come to America to seek revenge. Deathstrike lures Wolverine and the X-Men into the Morlock tunnels where she hopes that a stunning, alien discovery may be the secret to her destroying the man she once loved so deeply. 2) Out Of The Past ( part 2): Overall rating: 1/5 Cyclops rating: 2/5 Cyclops role: He came to help Logan against the Spirit. He fights it together with the others. Main Character: Logan Pairing (s): Logan/Yuriko Synopsis: Yuriko's alien discovery--a Shi'ar vessel--turns out to be a prison cell containing a voracious, gaseous prisoner, the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker. It immediately attacks Wolverine, Deathstrike and her cohorts, the Reavers, throwing them together to struggle against it. When the Spirit Drinker absorbs Jubilee's spirit, will Wolverine be able to overcome the alien creature or will he join Jubilee, locked inside it forever? 3) Sacrifice Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the team, tries to stop Jean Main Character: Jean Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Rogue/Gambit Synopsis: Shi'ar emissary Eric the Red commandeers the Eagle One space station, so his emperor D'Ken can launch a surprise attack on the one person who stands between him and the all-powerful M'Kraan crystal, his sister Lilandra. Will the X-Men stop D'Ken and his mission before he brings an interstellar war to the earth's doorstep? And who can withstand re-entry in order to safely land the shuttle now that the auto pilot is damaged? 4) Dark Shroud Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He sits with Jean´s side at the hospital. Main Character: Jean, Xavier Pairing (s): Jean/Scott Synopsis: Jean Grey pilots the shuttle, but her psycho-kinetic shield fails her. When she calls out for help, the mysterious, amorphous Phoenix force takes over. Even after the shuttle is safe, Jean can neither remember her ordeal, nor can she shake the feeling she is not herself. Meanwhile Professor X also undergoes an alarming transformation. He retreats to Ireland to rest... until two surprise visitors appear. Or is he imagining things? 5) Cry Of The Banshee Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the team Main Character: Lilandra Pairing (s): Xavier/Lilandra, Sean/Moira, Scott/Jean Synopsis: At great personal risk, Lilandra comes to Professor X's aid in Ireland. Lilandra again pleads with Professor X for assistance in the M'Kraan matter. As Jean struggles against the Phoenix energies, the other X-Men worry that the professor has lost his mind--especially now that he insists his mysterious 'friend' Lilandra, who no one else has ever seen, has been inexplicably kidnapped. 6) Starjammers: Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men, worries for Jean, is captured by Corsair. Main Character: Jean, Corsair Pairing (s): Scott/Jean Synopsis: Jean loses her identity to the Phoenix spirit as the battle for the M'Kraan crystal approaches. The amazingly powerful Jean/Phoenix transports all the X-Men to Lilandra's ship where the empress has hidden the crystal. But D'Ken is waiting and so is another band of would-be crystal thieves... Corsair, Raza, Hepzibah and Ch'od. The battle to save the crystal and the universe as we know it gets more hopeless by the minute. 7) Child Of Light Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the team, says his farewell to Jean Main Character: Jean Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Logan/Jean Synopsis: D'Ken achieves his terrifying goal--the crystal is his, allowing him to create his own universe inside the all-powerful gem. Under D'Ken's influence, the crystal begins to suck life from the solar system into itself like a black hole. D'Ken is fast becoming the power of the living galaxy. What has become of Phoenix? Must she sacrifice herself and Jean to save the world? 8) Obsession Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 2/5 Cyclops role: He fought with and lead the X-men. He wasn't much in this episode. Main Character: Archangel, Rogue Pairing (s): Rogue/Gambit Synopsis: Archangel has become obsessed with destroying Apocalypse, who he blames for ruining his life. A sympathetic Rogue joins his reckless, Ahab-like quest, against the warnings of the other X-Men, who have their own, more indirect plan to stop Apocalypse. In the end, the X-Men have Apocalypse in their grasp, only to have their plan ruined by Archangel's unthinking vengefulness. 9) Cold Comfort Overall rating: 0/5 Cyclops rating: 1/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't much in this episode but when he was it was all wrong. One of the worst episodes in the series. Main Character: Bobby, Beast Pairing (s): None really Synopsis: Former X-Man Bobby 'Iceman' Drake is caught breaking into a top secret government installation. The X-Men free him and take him to Xavier, who grieves over this former favorite pupil who walked out on the X-Men and has apparently gone bad. But Bobby had a reason for breaking into the installation, a reason he will only confide to the one X-Man he still trusts, Hank 'Beast' McCoy. 10) Savage Land, Savage Heart ( part 1): Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in this episode. Main Character: Storm, Pairing (s): None really Synopsis: Under the instruction of high priestess Zaladane, Sauron, a strange half man/half pterodactyl, kidnaps Storm to the Savage Land in order to feed from her pure, boundless mutant energy. Separated from the X team, Storm is encouraged by Sauron to free her inner tempest of energy -- but does she dare? When the X-Men arrive they must fight off dinosaurs, Sauron, a mysterious power named Garokk and... Storm! 11) Savage Land, Savage Heart ( part 2): Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in this episode. Main Character: Storm, Pairing (s): None really Synopsis: While Storm revels in her own elemental powers, Garokk, the stone spirit, secretly rejuvenates himself through her uninhibited energy display. Can the X-Men and the native Fall people control Storm and overpower Garokk before he fuses with the island's volcano and the surging planetary force below it? 12) Dazzled Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 4/5 Cyclops role: Saves Dazzler, worries for Jean Main Character: Jean Pairing (s): Jean/Scott Synopsis: The Phoenix continues to inhabit Jean's body, brazenly taking over at will. As a chanteuse named Dazzler flirts with Scott, Jean/Phoenix finds herself psychically seduced by Jason Wyngarde, with help from Emma Frost and the other mutants in the Inner Circle Club. Wyngarde weaves a new history for the confused Jean/Phoenix, creating a passionate romance between himself and her. When the X-Men come to rescue Jean, they find her fighting alongside Wyngarde -- her fiancé. 13) Inner Circle Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men, fights for Jean Main Character: Jean Pairing (s): Scott/Jean Synopsis: As Professor X and Emma Frost battle for psychic control of Jean, the Inner Circle members quarrel over how to dispose of their prisoners the X-Men. Is Jean and Scott's psychic connection gone forever? Or is she strong enough to overcome Phoenix's influence and Wyngarde's trickery to remember who she is...or at least was? 14) Dark Phoenix Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men, tries to reach Jean Main Character: Jean Pairing (s): Scott/Jean Synopsis: When the X-Men confront Phoenix to give up Jean's body, Phoenix vows to destroy the team. To re-energize, she flies up through the D'Bari Star System, passing a very surprised Shi'ar Star Cruiser crew. As they watch in horror, she feeds upon and destroys an entire star system. To defend space life as they know it, the Shi'ar empress Lilandra decrees Phoenix/Jean Gray must die. 15) The Fate Of Phoenix Overall rating: /5 Cyclops rating: /5 Cyclops role: Main Character: Pairing (s): Synopsis: The X-Men battle Lilandra's Imperial Guards for 'custody' of Phoenix/Jean Gray. Although Xavier and Lilandra wish they could settle amicably, they are set on opposite courses. When Phoenix falls in battle, Xavier startles everyone by commanding the X-Men to stop Phoenix now, while she is vulnerable. But how can Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm or any of the team strike Phoenix while she inhabits the body of their dearest friend and teammate Jean Gray? And what will happen if they don't? 16) Orphan's End Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Scott finds his father again and fights the bad guys as well as his hurt over his father's abandonment. A great episode showing a more human side to Scott ( very human in his anger as well) Main Character: Scott, Storm Pairing (s): Slight Scott/Jean, if you want to Scott/Storm Synopsis: Cyclops discovers that Corsair, a space pirate with a checkered past, may be his father. Corsair is on the run from Shi'ar authorities, who demand that Cyclops turn him over to them. Corsair swears his innocence. Will Cyclops turn in the man who may have abandoned him as a child? 17) Juggernaut Returns Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 1/5 Cyclops role: Scott finds the new holder of the crystal with Logan and takes the crystal to Xavier. Main Character: Xavier ( showing us his background which reminds one of Scott and a more human side to him) Pairing (s): if you want to Scott/Logan and Xavier/Scott Synopsis: Juggernaut's life is at risk when someone else uncovers the Ruby of Cyttorak and claims the powers of Juggernaut for himself! Will the Professor let his brother perish, or will he restore to power one of his most intractable foes? 18) Nightcrawler Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: He wasn't in this episode Main Character: Kurt ( showing us his life and background) Pairing (s): Slight Gambit/Rogue Synopsis: Gambit, Rogue, and Wolverine take a ski trip in Germany for some much-needed R & R. While Gambit and Rogue seem to be enjoying themselves, Wolverine is restless, and longs for some action. When he hears reports of a demon hiding in a local monastery, his investigation reveals not a demon, but a mutant, Nightcrawler, whose devilish appearance is in stark contrast to his peaceful and deeply philosophical nature. While the X-Men convince the townsfolk not to fear what they do not understand, Wolverine, too, learns something about the nature of faith. 19) Weapon X, Lies and videotapes Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: He is worried for Logan, Logan sees him as Sabretooth and attacks him as he concerned bends towards him, Jean separates the two as Scott don't hurt Logan nor try to defend himself. Logan leaves so not to hurt anyone. Main Character: Logan Pairing (s): Slight Logan/Silver Fox, Logan/Scott if you want to see it. Synopsis: A cryptic postcard unleashes a flood of maddening and painful memories in Wolverine that threaten to drive him insane. To keep his mind from being torn apart, Wolverine and Beast travel to the one location that may hold the answers to his hidden past: the ruins of the top-secret Weapon X lab where Wolverine's bones were laced with adamantium. It's up to Cyclops to stop him and save the mutant children. He is informed that his birth mother (whom he never knew) is in trouble. He turns to the X-Men for assistance. Jubilee is baffled that Nightcrawler wants to help the mother who abandoned him -- she has never known her birth parents and feels pretty hostile toward them, whoever they are. Nightcrawler admits there has been pain, but his faith in God has helped him overcome her rejection. The plot thickens when one of the team members recognizes Nightcrawler's mother's voice... There are more 'bloodlines' here than anyone imagined, including the Friends of Humanity who arranged this 'reunion' in the first place. 7) Storm Front ( Part 1) Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 3/5 Cyclops role: he fights and goes with Storm to the new world. Main Character: Storm ( yet again) Pairing (s): Storm/Arkon Synopsis: The dashing alien, Arkon, unleashes terrible weather conditions over Washington D.C. to get Storm's attention. It works -- he begs her to return with him to his planet, Corsus, to save it from meteorological chaos which threatens his people. After much pleading, Arkon convinces Storm. Intrigued by this dynamic leader but slightly suspicious, Storm departs but leaves a clue for the other X-Men to follow. The X-Men travel through an inter-dimensional portal and arrive to 'rescue' Storm, just as she is in the midst of restoring the planet's raging eco-system. Once successful, Storm is proclaimed savior throughout this universe. What's more, Arkon asks her to marry him. 8) Storm Front ( part 2): Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 3/5 Cyclops role: he fights together with Logan and sees Arkon true nature. Main Character: Storm ( yet again) Pairing (s): Storm/Arkon, slight Scott/Storm if you want to see it Synopsis: Spectacular preparations for Storm's wedding to Arkon proceed quickly. But as Jubilee helps Storm, the new queen, prepare for the wedding, Jubilee can't help notice how badly the palace workers are treated. When Storm mentions this to Arkon, he reminds her she is new to his world, and asks her for her trust. meanwhile Wolverine, Cyclops and Beast discover there are fleet ships bringing slaves ('workers') from the neighboring planet. Arkon, it seems, is a ruthless tyrant. Storm must know the truth! The others begin to battle the allies, but without warning, Magneto caves in the ground, and a mega-robot Sentinel is released. Season 3 ( 2002-2003) 1) Day of Recovery Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Tells everyone that Xavier is really Mystique, gets saved by Ororo, wants to fight Mystique, leaves Mystique behind when she doesn't want to tell him where Xavier is (go Scott!) Main Character: Scott, Mystique Pairing (s): Scott/Ororo Synopsis: X-Men and Brotherhood deal with the aftermath of the world finding out about mutants. The Insitute is blown up and Mystique posed as Prof. X to destroy it. Some of the X-Men and Brotherhood are captured, leaving the remaining mutants to find Professor X. 2) The Stuff of Heroes Overall rating: 4/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Leads the X-men, really shines in the leader role, uses his powers at full power, defies Logan who leaves Scott in charge of the X-men by himself Main Character: Logan, Rogue, Scott Pairing (s): Scott/Jean Synopsis: Rogue and Wolverine duck a squad of soldiers when the nationwide alert goes out against mutants, while Storm and Beast go into a meeting of Congress to defend themselves. Scott leds the X-men against Juggernaut and they find Xavier 3) Mainstream Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: fights Duncan and his 3 friends blind and powerless still wins, fights Duncan again later (still powerless) and wins, leads the X-men Main Character: Kurt, all Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Jean/Duncan, Kitty/Lance, Kurt/Amanda Synopsis: During the rebuilding of the manor, Kitty and Kurt intercept a bunch of graffiti artists disguised as monsters. The older students get to go back to Bayville High for one day before attending a hearing to determine their ultimate fate, while they are banned from using their powers. 4) The Stuff of Villains Overall rating: 3/5 Cyclops rating: 3/5 Cyclops role: Smiles at Rogue and says she should be more careful Main Character: Kurt, all Pairing (s): Rogue/Gambit, Kitty/Lance Synopsis: Wanda goes after Pietro, Gambit makes the old Brotherhood help protect him by Magneto's order. Rogue and Kitty follow Lance and the others. 5) Blind Alley Overall rating: 5/5 Cyclops rating: 5/5 Cyclops role: Fixes the house bare-chested with Logan, talks about Jean to Logan, talks with Alex on the phone and meets him only to find it's Mystique, is left blind in the desert, is attacked by wolves, is saved by some workers, wakes up in the hospital, runs away from the hospital, get attacked by bandits, fights Mystique, is saved by Jean because she has a 'connection' with him (please! How original!), Jean and Scott tell each other how they feel and begin dating Main Character: Scott, Mystique Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Ororo/Logan Synopsis: Mystique escapes from imprisonment while the X-Men repair and rebuild the Institute. Disguised as Alex, Mystique lures Scott into a trap - leaving him stranded in the middle of the Mexican desert without his glasses. 6) X-Treme Measures Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 1/5 Cyclops role: Helps find Spyrke Main Character: Ewan Pairing (s): None Synopsis: A mysterious group of mutants sabotage the Powr8 sports drink manufacturer while Evan discovers his power is growing beyond his control. Because of this he joins the Morlocks. 7) The Toad, The Witch and The Wardrobe Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: Wasn’t in it Main Character: Toad, Scarlet Witch Pairing (s): Toad/Scarlet Witch, Kurt/Amanda Synopsis: Wanda receives a clue from one of Magneto's minions, Pyro, directing her to a sky resort. Meanwhile, Kurt is meeting Amanda's parents for the first time, and the Toad believes he can use Kurt's holo-inducer to disguise himself and win Wanda's love. 8) Self Possessed Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 0/5 Cyclops role: fights Rogue Main Character: Rogue Pairing (s): Scott/Rogue, Scott/Jean Synopsis: Rogue appears to have problems with her powers, as the residual impressions of everyone she has touched start flashing through her mind and body. Mystique, warned by Destiny, returns in her student guise to get close to Rogue as everyone attends a concert. Rogue is overwhelmed by the crowd and begins making random contact with everyone, including Mystique. Rogue begins shapeshifting and replicating the powers of other people she's touched and goes on a rampage. 9) Under Lock & Key Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 2/5 Cyclops role: fights with the others Main Character: Remy, Angel Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, others Synopsis: Mesmero mentally controls Gambit into stealing half of the Spider Stone from Angel and is then captured by Magneto. Magneto finds out about the three keys that can free Apocalypse and tracks an escaping Mesmero to London. Angel goes to the X-Men for help and they pick up the trail to London as well. The two teams fight but Magneto finds and joins the two halves, which create a energy-spider. The X-Men set out to capture it while Magneto's team try to destroy it, weakening it down long enough for Magneto to eradicate it. Xavier reveals that Mesmero intended Magneto to destroy it all along - the spider was a guardian. Now the teams must find Mesmero before he acquires the third key and finally frees Apocalypse. 10) Cruise Control Overall rating: 2/5 Cyclops rating: 2/5 Cyclops role: fights with the others Main Character: Amara, others Pairing (s): Scott/Jean, Kurt/Kitty Synopsis: The gang of X-Men are hanging out on a cruise boat for a little vacation. Stupidly Iceman almost replays Titanic with an iceberg and Amara doesn't feel very good. Kitty and Kurt are spying on Scott and Jean all the time, which makes Scott and Jean go to desperate measures; they go to an island nearby and almost everyone come as well. She arrives at the Brotherhood house and knocks everyone out with extreme ease. Later, she leaves and goes with Mystique. She absorbs her powers and goes after the Acolytes. After absorbing everyone’s powers, she leaves and goes to the graduation. Kelly claims that the mutants are a threat but none of them takes him very seriously. Magneto says that Mesmero has been controlling Rogue and will use her to get the last key.
