Caress the Water

Trickling over twig and stone
My love that pours forever after
To feel my essence after I'm gone
I beg you, simply caress the water.

I slip away into eternal peace
And close my eyes in eternal slumber
But my spirit still lives on
If you forever caress the water.

As my joy in the morning shines
And my body falls away far
Feel my peace and happiness
If your truth shall caress the water.

I'm over grown in lily and rose
As I sit with the Heavenly Father
And blessed are the few and loved
That sadly shall caress the water.

Long since my flower ceased to bloom
As I return to holy earth mother
And hopes that you forget me not
For I shall always caress the water.
