Baby Vignette

I made this wallhanging vignette for a friend when her son was born. I was late as usual, but she got it eventually when he was already 6 months old! Better late than never. The vignette box measures 20 cm high x 24 cm wide (to fit a standard picture frame), and 10 cm deep (8x10x4 inches). I used printable wallpaper from About.com and the floor was made with strips of plastic wood trim. I used a photograph of their back yard as a background for the fake window, which has a roller blind. I made the cradle from a pattern in "Dolls' House Needlecrafts", by Venus Dodge. The wall shelf was made using wooden tongue depressors, decorated with printables from various internet sources. I scaled down some pictures of the rest of the family, and framed them in matching frames.
