Calvin placed 2nd in the protection tournament at the 2006 USRC North Central Sieger show.
At 10.5 he was the oldest of seven entries. He enjoyed himself and as you can see in the recent
photos with helper Bill Crawley - the boy could still grip!!
This photo was taken at about 20mths. I always loved this photo. Unfortunately the dead grass and light makes his
markings look like they're straw colored. Which wasn't the case. A great conformation
photo killed by poor lighting and ground cover. I always loved the train in the back too.
Fit his 'wrong side of the tracks' attitude.

Ivan needed two hands!!
Another favorite of mine, I love what
his ears are doing here. And although in the end he was a professional
when it came to carrying his sleeve - it wasn't always that way! This photo
is like a personal trophy for me. Another reason I love it, thus its condition...

Calvin was a hard hitting, extremely powerful, take no prisoners working
dog. He came to live with us at 11 weeks and became my shadow, my protector, my friend.
Always possessing an excellent sense of humor but never forgeting his self appointed job as guardian.
He is a true Rottweiler. Calvin has outrageous prey drive and a very strong
aggression level. Calvin is a true working dog.
Calvin was probably the top SchH obedience Rottweiler during his career.
He would work nonstop regardless of conditions. He was the only Rottweiler to
earn a V score in obedience in 2000. At a USA Regional Championship. Under
Willie Pope, not a judge known for handing out V scores. His excellent obedience
was taught almost completely through toy drive. Never a handler hard dog. Only hard on helpers.

Calvin has worked on most of the top helpers around. Including but not
limited to Steve Beal; Todd West; Chris Carr; Dean Calderon; Steve Gregalunas;
Roland Seibel; Ivan Balabanov; Armin Winkler; Doug Deacon; Wolfgang Rook; Tim Cruser.
Calvin has been requested for helper tryouts by many of the above helpers since he was
18 months old.
Showing a controlled start before picking the sheep up. More photos from his JHD tests below.
Keeping the sheep back off me after moving through the third panels.
Calvin started working stock in April 2004, and completed both legs of his
AHBA JHD title with ease on August 15th, 2004. If I'd had any idea he was this good
working stock I would have started him a long time ago. Many thanks to Joanna Yund for
helping us achieve this goal.
Moving the sheep out the gate at the end of the JHD test.
Calvin is linebred 4/4/5 on Dingo v Schwaiger Wappen.
He is the son of the great Gina vd Teufelsbrucke, grandson of the phenomenal
Bea vd Teufelsbrucke. He is a direct male line descendent of Dingo. Calvin's lines have continually produced dogs that win in the
conformation ring and the Schutzhund field. Check out the family page for
the details.
Calvin kept busy after he retired from Schutzhund. The AKC CD was earned in his 8th year.
Three legs in three shows of course. His JHDs was earned in his 8th year. The AKC CDX we
completed in his 9th year, placing second on each leg. And of course he had a little fun
in a protection tournament this past spring.
